FAQ

How did The Duke’s Stash get its name?

Our last name is La Duke, and my granddaughters used to pronounce it “The Duke”—the name stuck!

Why New Glarus, Wisconsin?

We live nearby, found a great rental space, and love the strong Chamber of Commerce. The downtown thrives with unique shops and great restaurants—best visited Wednesday through Saturday!

What do you carry in the shop?

Bright, romantic, holiday, civil war, and real-life fabric prints—plus panels, notions, and threads (Coats & Clark, Gutermann, Aurifil). We also sell quilt kits and store samples.

Do you offer services?

Yes! Long arm quilting (edge-to-edge), alterations, custom quilts, and feather pillow cleaning. Long arm pricing:

$0.005/sq in for Warm & Natural 80/20 batting

Do you participate in shop hops?

Absolutely! We’re part of the South Central Wisconsin Shop Hop (Feb), Wisconsin Quilt Shop Hop (June), and All Wisconsin Shop Hop (Sept–Oct 2026), supporting causes like Gilda’s House.
